Full Charge Bookkeeper
BLS is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper with a solid knowledge of accounting principles to perform full cycle bookkeeping and accounting work for small businesses and individuals.
Sample Project Opportunities
- Provide supervised bookkeeping services to clients using QuickBooks (online, remote access, and/or desktop versions) and Xero to include: set up, accounts receivable, accounts payable, invoicing, payroll, inventory, depreciation, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, maintaining general ledger, posting adjusting journal entries, and preparing reports
- Compile information for preparation of various government returns and reports
- Maintain communication with clients
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing results and assisting accountants with tax return preparation
What We Look For
- Two-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or other business-related field and/or comparable work experience in a public accounting environment performing full cycle accounting duties for multiple clients simultaneously
- Working knowledge of general business practices, Microsoft Office applications, and accounting software (with a competency in Quickbooks and Xero)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, comprehension skills, and good problem solving abilities
- Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
- Ability to pay close attention to detail, be thorough, and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work independently, think creatively, and have initiative
- Occasional same day travel to client’s office using personal vehicle
