Senior Accountant, Accounting & Auditing Department

BLS is seeking a professional with advanced technical skills in a variety of audit and small business areas, including preparation and review of work papers, financial statements and reports.

Job duties include:

  • Planning and executing the full scope of audit, review and accounting engagements for a variety of mid-sized, privately held businesses
  • Primary liaison between the client and the Supervisor, Manager or Director
  • Preparation, review and analysis of various financial statements
  • Staying compliant with pronouncements of professional and other regulatory groups
  • Mentoring of new staff on assignments, while simultaneously performing efficiently on engagements

Other qualifications include:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 3-4 years public accounting experience in an audit or accounting environment
  • A CPA certification or evidence of working towards certification
  • A working knowledge of small business and audit compliance
  • An ability to work independently
  • Some supervisory experience and client relations skills
  • A working knowledge of ProSystems software, Thomson Reuters Checkpoint, Microsoft Office and other programs related to tax planning, depreciation and accounting
Senior Accountant/Supervisor, Tax & Small Business Department

BLS is seeking a professional with advanced technical skills in a variety of tax and small business areas (specifically with a strong international tax emphasis), including preparation and review of work papers, reports and returns, to get in on the ground floor of a rapidly growing international tax practice.

Job duties include:

  • Prospective client correspondence
  • Assisting with process development through team structure
  • Researching treaties and/or Totalization Agreements
  • Providing tax and accounting services to multinational companies and individuals, including inbound and outbound planning, related compliance services, consultation and entity selection
  • Assisting with development and execution of international marketing initiatives

Other qualifications include:

  • A working knowledge of small business tax compliance
  • An ability to work independently
  • Some supervisory experience and client relations skills
  • 3-4 years public accounting experience (with at least 2 years of international experience, a proficiency in international tax research and interpreting tax treaties)
  • A CPA certification or evidence of working towards certification
  • A working knowledge of ProSystems software, Thomson Reuters Checkpoint, Microsoft Office and other programs related to tax planning, depreciation and accounting
  • Bi-lingual or multi-lingual proficiency is a plus
