After thirty-four years of service, I am pleased to announce that on June 30, 2014 I retired from BLS. I am
proud to be a part of this extraordinary firm, which I have helped grow into the company it is today. Along
with retirement comes more time with my family which I am enjoying immensely.
As a part of my transition into retirement, I introduced many of my contacts to a new BLS team who share
my same dedication to providing quality tax and financial services. Rest assured that although I have retired,
I am not far away. I will still be available to BLS to assist if needed. Thank you to all of my clients, referral
sources, friends and the BLS team for the privilege of working with so many of you over these many years.
To reach me after my retirement, please contact BLS at 302.225.0600 and our administrative services team
will let me know of your call.
Very truly yours,
We think of Dan as a fast-track professional; he earned his Director status here within six years of
joining the firm. It’s likely he’s grown his intellectual property and impact as a result of his involvement
in the industry education community as both a public speaker and national presenter for industry trade
associations such as PrimeGlobal (formerly IGAF Polaris).
Dan’s tax knowledge bridges the divide between nonprofit and corporate tax guidelines, and he is as
comfortable providing insight at the podium as he is in the boardroom. We sometimes think of Dan as
our in-office answer man; there’s not a lot that he doesn’t know when it comes to taxation and employee
benefit plan compliance. He’s our go-to guy, a veritable wealth of knowledge.
Tap into his expertise and you’ll find your answers for not just tax challenges or employee benefit plan
management, but succession plans, mergers and acquisitions for physicians’ groups, and business
Perspectives from Dan
“Helping clients and peers develop their intellectual property is helping them grow in their business and
as professionals. That’s what I like to do, pass it on.”
“It’s important to pay attention to the impact of business decisions, not just on the business and its
shareholders, but to make sure we understand the impact on personal finance. I keep my eye on everything.”
