Gregory J. Sarnecki, CPA

In Remembrance
1947 – 2015

Personable | Inquisitive | Valuable | Navy Man

It is with sadness that we pay tribute to Greg Sarnecki, who lost his life after a short battle with cancer.
Greg was a shareholder at BLS for many years. Prior to his retirement in 2014, Greg contributed greatly
to the success of our firm and the accounting profession. He was the most gentle, kind and compassionate
man many of us have ever met. The relationships he formed with his clients and BLS team members
were those of sincerity and genuine interest. You hardly saw Greg without a smile or a good story to tell.

He was a CPA that wanted to be present for his clients’ financial conversations, one who personally helped
with the right decision. For Greg, this was the fulfillment of an accountant’s promise – taking small
businesses to a point where owners get the highest value as they define exit strategies and succession plans.

Greg was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Delaware Society of Certified
Public Accountants and Wilmington Tax Group.

Within the community, he was active with the Wilmington West Rotary Club, a founding trustee of the
Wilmington West Rotary Foundation, an active church member and an antique sports car enthusiast.

We miss him dearly and will always remember the impact he made on each of us individually and on the
firm as a whole.

Sincerely,

Belfint, Lyons & Shuman, CPAs
