Managing Director
As Managing Director, Barry is responsible for overseeing the firm's operational and client service efforts. Under Barry's direction, the firm has undertaken several large initiatives including an office move, an expansion into another state and merging with another local accounting firm. The firm has also received multiple community awards, most notably the Marvin S. Gilman Superstars in Business award from the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce and Best in the Business – Best Place to Work from the News Journal. Barry has worked in areas of tax, audit, small buiness, loan acquisition, litigation support, corporate tax and management issues and corporate service matters for Delaware Investment Holding Companies.
Barry is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Delaware Society of Certified Public Accountants (DSCPA), the Wilmington Tax Group, the Delaware Estate Planning Council and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. He has held multiple leadership positions, including serving as president of the DSCPA and serving as treasurer and board member of Delaware Estate Planning Council and the AICPA Council. He is on the National Association of Estate Planners and Councils (NAEPC) council relations committee. Barry has also served as a board member and treasurer for the North American board of IGAF Worldwide. Barry is also active in several community and civic organizations, including his church, the Neighborhood House, Inc. and the Wilmington Rotary Club.
Barry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Delaware and a Master of Science degree in taxation from Widener University.
