Michael's career in public accounting began in 1980, when he joined the firm as intern. He was promoted to principal in 1989 and named a director in 1994. Today, he specializes in providing tax, accounting and consulting services to closely-held companies and year-round tax and financial planning services for individuals. As one of the firm's small business experts, Michael helps existing and start-up business owners develop and implement financial plans that enable them to meet their specific business goals. Michael's attention to detail and organizational skills were instrumental during the firm's recent corporate relocation, which he coordinated. His professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the Wilmington Tax Group and the Delaware Society of Certified Public Accountants (DSCPA). Within the community, Michael coaches youth softball and helps raise funds for various charitable organizations. He has also served as an officer, board member and standing committee member for various nonprofit organizations. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Delaware. |
