Steve has more than 20 years experience assisting small businesses and high net worth individuals with a variety of tax planning, auditing and consulting issues. When working with individuals, Steve is readily accessible to help clients deal with a variety of long-term financial planning issues, as well as their day-to-day financial concerns. Steve served as the co-managing director for Truitt, Sarnecki & Associates prior to the 2004 merger with Belfint, Lyons & Shuman.

Steve's business and professional affiliations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Delaware Society of Certified Public Accountants (DSCPA). Within the community, he has served as treasurer for the Caesar Rodney Rotary Club, Rotary District #8630 and the Delaware CarePlan, Inc. Steve has presented seminars and training sessions on several accounting and tax topics.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Delaware. He received his Certified Public Accountant designation from the state of Delaware in 1983.
