For more than 40 years, Ron has been active in the Wilmington and Delaware communities, providing accounting and tax services. Ron began his career in public accounting in 1964 and continues to serve clients as a part-time consultant with the firm. Ron served as director for Truitt, Sarnecki & Associates prior to the 2004 merger with Belfint, Lyons & Shuman.
Ron is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Delaware Society of Certified Public Accountants (DSCPA). Within the community, he has served on the board of directors for several nonprofit organizations. He currently serves as a trustee for the Episcopal Diocese of Wilmington, St. Anne's Episcopal School in Middletown and the Lawyer's Fund for Client Protection, an arm of the courts of the state of Delaware. Ron is a member of the faculty at the CREDO institutes, which is affiliated with the Church Pension Fund of the Episcopal Church, USA. He is also an active member of the Wilmington Rotary Club.
After attending the University of Delaware for two years and serving in the Army for three years, Ron received his accounting degree with high honors from Goldey-Beacom College. He earned his Certified Public Accountant designation from the state of Delaware in 1969.
