The BLS Team is actively monitoring the rapidly developing changes related to COVID-19 and will continue to provide updates as they apply to our clients, employees, vendors and the community.

Not surprisingly, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin announced this morning that the traditional Tax Filing Day of April 15 is being moved to July 15, 2020. This aligns with the previously changed Extension to Pay granted earlier this week. We understand that Congress is working on legislation that will solidify this change and hopefully give us further guidance on any other related tax procedures.

This means that both your tax return and payment are now due by July 15, 2020. However, this does not mean that we will stop working for you. As long as we are allowed to operate, we will continue to process your returns and financial reports as quickly and effectively as we would normally do, so please read on to learn our plans to serve your tax and financial needs over the coming weeks.

IMPORTANT REMINDER FOR OUR CLIENTS:

We remain committed to serving you safely and effectively. With essential personnel reporting to our office and many BLS Team Members working remotely until further notice, please rest assured that our infrastructure enables our employees to receive and send information as well as communicate both internally and with you (video conferencing, email, phone, text) while working on your engagements.

Even with the tax filing extension and other deadline changes, we are still working to receive your information, process it and deliver your completed tax returns and financial reports with minimal delay wherever possible.

If you still need to get your tax or financial information to us, please use one of the preferred methods as soon as possible. 

• Electronic delivery through FAX (302.225.0625), our secure email system, client portal, or SuraLink services – contact your BLS professional for the best option
• FedEx/UPS/USPS Express or Certified Mail – Please send copies of your information to us at:

If you prefer not to use these options and can still get to our location, call first to schedule a drop off/pick up time. Our office is open for quick visits and if necessary, we can meet you without having to leave your car.

For delivery of your completed returns and reports, we will be using either electronic delivery or FedEx/UPS to ensure the safest and most secure delivery possible. We will work with you to determine the best option.
