Tyler Dorso has been promoted to Senior Accountant in the firm’s Tax & Small Business Department. Tyler celebrated his 3rd anniversary with BLS in June. He assists individuals and small businesses with tax planning, compliance, and financial statement services. He earned his Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Finance from West Chester University.
Emily Schmidt, CPA has been promoted to Senior Accountant in the firm’s Accounting & Auditing Department. Emily celebrated her 3rd anniversary with BLS in June. Emily has gained experience in audit and assurance services for privately held corporations, nonprofit organizations, and employee benefit plans and assists with tax services for individuals and small businesses. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, with a minor in Spanish, from the University of Delaware.
Tyler Starr, CPA has been promoted to Staff II Accountant in the firm’s Rotational Development Program. Tyler will be celebrating his 2nd anniversary with BLS in September. He provides compliance services to individuals, small businesses, and nonprofits, as well as assisting the firm’s employee benefit plan audit team. He earned his Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting and Finance from West Chester University.
Val Allston has been promoted to Lead Bookkeeper in the firm’s Tax & Small Business Department. Val celebrated her 2nd anniversary with BLS in June. She provides back office functions, outsourced accounting, and software conversion for a variety of clients, including consulting on the most effective use of accounting software. She is a member of AIPB and QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisor.
Sinclair Gibore has been promoted to Senior IT Specialist in the firm’s subsidiary, BL&S Technologies. Sinclair will be celebrating his 4th anniversary with BLS in February. He provides IT support to BLS CPAs, along with many BL&S Technology clients. He earned his Computer Science degree from Montclair State University.
