Remembering Ronald W. Truitt, CPA

In Remembrance

Ronald W. Truitt
1939 – 2024

Personable | Leader | “Poppy” | Army Veteran

It is with sadness that we pay tribute to Ron Truitt, who passed away on February 29, 2024. Ron was a shareholder at BLS for many years after Truitt, Sarnecki & Associates merged with BLS in 2004. Prior to his retirement in 2008, Ron contributed greatly to the success of our firm, the accounting profession, and the community. He continued to make a difference way beyond his retirement!

He was a CPA that took a personal interest in each of his clients’, resulting in long-lasting friendships. Within the office, Ron was a servant leader and a mentor who enjoyed working side-by-side with others.

Ron was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Delaware Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Within the community, he was active with the St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, St. Anne’s Episcopal School, and the Wilmington Rotary. His education started at the University of Delaware where he then enlisted in the Army. After returning from the Army, he completed his education at Goldey Beacom College where he earned his accounting degree.

We miss him dearly and will always remember the impact he made on each of us individually and on the firm.

Sincerely,

Belfint, Lyons & Shuman, CPAs
